Henllan FC has notched up its second championship title in as many years. Having survived a lean few years in the Llandyrnog and District Summer League the team, sponsored by Lawson Civil Engineering and Utilities Ltd, was crowned 2016 champions. Having tasted success and liking it they weren’t, however, about to relinquish their title and retained it this season (2017) in convincing fashion with two games to spare.
Now the club hopes to go one better than last year by also beating Llanfair to clinch the league’s prestigious Tony Evans Memorial Shield – settling old score, proving Henllan FC is a force to be reckoned with and the ones to be beaten.

Frank’s aim has always been to set high standards, deliver a quality of service to all clients and to offer quality positions to all employees whilst instilling in them a positive proactive approach. It is this ethos which has seen Lawsons grow into the success it is today. Investing in its current workforce is as important to the company as is developing youngsters coming into the industry by giving them the skills which will benefit them in the future, and they have a rigorous training program for all Operational and Administrative staff based upon their individual needs.
Community is also very important to the Lawson family and LCEU is proud to support many local individuals and initiatives. Denbigh man Owen Gallagher, Welsh and British BBU Cruiserweight Champion, successfully defended his British title twice under the company’s sponsorship, the long established Henllan Football Club, one of the premier teams in the Llandyrnog and District Summer League, benefits annually for their kit sponsorship as does the junior team who play in the Rhyl and District League.
